Award bonus rules
Last updated: 14 August 2026
If your restaurant earns a Michelin Guide or Gault&Millau award, we give you Articheck free for a while. This page explains exactly how it works.
1. Which awards count, and for how long
| Award | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Bib Gourmand or 1–2 Gault&Millau toques | 6 months free |
| Michelin star (one, two or three) or 3–5 Gault&Millau toques | 12 months free |
The number of stars does not change the length — one star and three stars both mean 12 months.
2. One award per year
Awards are tiers, not items to add up. If you hold a Michelin star and Gault&Millau toques in the same year, we count the higher one — 12 months, not 18 or 24.
If you earn a higher-tier award later in the same year than the one you already submitted, email support@articheck.app and we will top up the difference.
3. The bonus repeats and the time is added on
The bonus applies to every renewal, so normally once a year. New time is added to whatever you have left — it never overwrites the remainder. So there is no reason to wait for your current bonus to run out; submit the award as soon as you have it.
4. Cap: teams of up to 20 cooks
The bonus covers a team of up to 20 cooks alongside the head chef. If you have more cooks, the bonus does not apply and the regular price of the package you need is charged.
This is a hard limit, not a discount beyond it. We state it up front on purpose, so it does not surprise you at the moment you add your 21st cook.
5. What counts as proof
A link to the official listing that includes your restaurant — guide.michelin.com or the Gault&Millau site for your country. A link to your restaurant's page in that listing is enough.
If the official listing has no permanent link to your restaurant, email us and we will agree on another form of proof.
6. Who the bonus belongs to
The bonus belongs to the team (the restaurant), not to a person. If you run two awarded restaurants, those are two teams and each applies separately. If the owner or head chef changes, the bonus stays with the team.
7. Deadline to apply
For the current calendar year and the year before it. Older awards can no longer be submitted.
8. Withdrawing the bonus
If the proof turns out to be false or not related to your team, we will withdraw the bonus and may suspend access under the Terms of Use. An award you have already earned is never revoked retroactively — if you do not defend it the following year, your existing bonus simply runs to its end.
9. Changes to these rules
We may update these rules; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Bonuses already granted are never shortened or reduced by a rule change — the version they were granted under continues to apply.
