Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Articheck app ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The service

Articheck is a kitchen prep-list and team-management tool for restaurants. It lets a team share prep lists, checklists, recipes, shift schedules, events and related kitchen workflows. Some features (e.g. the AI assistant) are optional and require your own third-party API key.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials and any Kiosk PINs confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract and use the App in a professional/workplace context.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including: attempting to access data of teams you do not belong to, reverse-engineering or disrupting the service, uploading unlawful or infringing content, or using the App to violate the rights of others. The head chef who creates a team is responsible for managing team membership and the data entered about team members, and for having a lawful basis to store any staff information.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (prep lists, recipes, photos, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you and your team. You are responsible for the content you upload.

5. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services including Google Firebase (storage, authentication, diagnostics) and, for optional AI features, Anthropic. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms. The App is distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the App available and reliable but provide it "as is" without guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We may update, change or discontinue features at any time.

7. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
